Rank of Poker Hands
To determine the winner of a game of Poker
you must see the cards that each one has at hand which the best combination
of cards. For this there is a predetermined Ranking combinations that some
combinations are worth more than others, because some are harder to do than
others. Below you can find the list of combinations of letters that can be
made on a 5 card hand of Poker, starting with the most valuable
combinations, even the smallest. First let's establish a basic rules to
determine how to revalue the cards in the deck and if there are differences
between suits and letters.
The individual letters have values in descending order as follows: A, K, Q,
J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. ACEs (A) may assert as ACE or as an ACE low,
for example when used in a following A, 2, 3, 4 and 5. To know which cards
with the highest value you can know what the best hands are of the same
category, such as a pair of Kings (KK) is worth more than a couple of
Machines (55), but are the two pairs.
The Suit of the cards does not add value to letters, only is used to
determine if a player made a Flush, a hand of five cards with the same suit,
which we explain later. Or to see if a player has a Straight Flush is a
straight flush.
Straight Flush

poker hand of 5 cards in sequence and common suit. Example: ♠ ♠ ♠ K Q J 10 ♠
♠. If you have two hands of Straight Flush is the highest hand which has the
highest card. Example: ♠ ♠ ♠ K Q J 10 ♠ ♠ ♣ wins 9 8 7 6 ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣ 5. If you
have two hands of Straight Flush but of different suits with the same high
card, there is a tie. Example: J ♥ ♥ ♥ 10 9 8 7 ♥ ♥ equaliser with J 10 9 ♦
♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ 7 8.
Four of a Kind
The Four of a Kind are four of a kind in a hand of five cards. Example: Q Q
Q ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦ Q. The Four of a Kind with larger cards earn the letters of lower
value. Example: 9 ♠ ♣ ♥ 9 9 9 ♦ gain 5 5 ♥ ♣ ♠ 5 5 ♦. In games with
community cards, like Texas Holdem, players have the same hand of Four of a
Kind, so the fifth card is that desempata. Example: K K K ♥ ♠ ♣ K ♦ 10 ♥
wins the K K K ♥ ♠ ♣ K ♦ 9 ♠.
Full House
A Full House is a combination of 3 cards equal with other 2 cards equal.

♠ ♥ ♣ 2 ♦ 2. A community card game with players tie with the same 3 of a
kind, the shoot-out is done by the best two cards equal. Example: 5 5 ♥ ♣ ♠
5 Q ♣ Q ♦ gains 5 ♠ ♣ ♥ 5 5 9 9 ♦ ♣. The Full House are described as for

Example: ♣ ♣ 10 Q 5 ♣ ♣ ♣ 2. If the cards are in sequence so called Straight
Flush, as explained in the first example, and is the strongest hand in
poker. If more than one Flush at a poker table, the winner is determined by
the Flush with the highest card. Example: Q ♠ ♠ ♠ 4 10 5 3 ♠ ♠ gains J 10 5
♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ 2 3. If two or more Flush have the same highest card, then the
tie-breaker for the second highest card and so on. If all cards are equal,
but of different suits, then declares himself the tie and players divide
bets with each other.

all in sequence of value of the cards. Example: J ♠ ♣ ♥ 10 9 8 7 ♥ ♣. If the
cards are all of the same suit then is a Straight Flush, as explained in the
first example. The shoot-out of sequences is done by comparing the cards
larger sequence. Example: ♠ ♣ K Q J 10 ♥ ♣ ♥ gains Q ♠ ♣ ♥ J 10 9 8 ♥ ♣. If
there are two sequences with the same high card, then it is given the tie
and the stakes are divided in half by the winning players. ACE in sequence

with a 2. Example: ♠ ♠ ♥ (2) 3 4 ♦ 5 ♠.
