New Jersey presents Internet Gaming Bill
A recently proposed law in New Jersey could allow state licensed casinos in
Atlantic City to offer internet gambling to residents in the State of the rowset.
New Jersey House Bill 2570, introduced by Senator Raymond j. Lesniak this month,
would allow residents of New Jersey to place bets in Casino games, including
Online Poker, via the Internet.
"We are happy that New Jersey took this issue into their own hands," said
interactive media entertainment and Gaming Association (iMEGA) Chairman Joe
Brennan Jr. "New Jersey is recognized as having the toughest gaming regulators
in the United States, but as a State game leader with a long history of doing
things the right way, Internet game will have a great home here and the
opportunity to begin normalizing industry ".
The law States that Atlantic City casinos must apply for an authorization to
establish internet betting, with the license valid for one year and subject to
renewal. It is expected that the annual fee for a license internet gambling be
at least $ 200000, with the renewal fee to be at least $ 100000 to cover the
cost of regulation by the Commission and the Division.
Once on site, game rules shall be implemented for betting on the internet that
will be compatible with the rules governing casino. These regulations will
include age restrictions, procedures for credit and debit of corruption game
controls and resources to help problem gamblers.
New Jersey took the first step to legalize Poker games online in the United
States in January. Then Lesniak presented a draft law that called for New Jersey
residents vote for a constitutional amendment that would allow regulated by the

Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) continues to be concentrated in a federal
